MONTCO RISE
Montco RISE is a summer internship program through the MCIU for rising seniors through college seniors. The MCIU provides selected applicants with a 6 to 8 week internship experience in their interested field.

Our last cohort of internships will be taking place in the Fall of 2026! We are thankful to all our employers, interns and to Montgomery County for all of the support of the program over the last 4 years!
We were able to facilitate 113 internships for Montgomery County students and businesses during the grant period (Summers 2023 to Summer 2026)!!

Montco Manufacturing
The Montco Manufactring program is a registered Pre-Apprenticeship program through the MCIU and Stein Seal. The Montco Manufacturing program looks to offer training through the Tooling U program and with on site training at Stein Seal.
In 2024, three of our pre-apprentices were hired full time at Stein Seal!
In 2025, two of our pre-apprentices were hired full time at Stein Seal!
In 2026, four of our pre-apprentices were hired full time at Stein Seal!
MONTCO MANUFACTURING PIPELINE INITIATIVE
The Montco Manufacturing Pipeline Initiative is a workforce development program administered by the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit (MCIU) and funded through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development (DCED) Manufacturing PA Training-to-Career Grant.
The purpose of the program is to connect individuals with barriers to employment to paid manufacturing internships and technical training opportunities that lead to sustainable employment.
The initiative will provide:
• 30 paid internships over a two-year period (May 2026 to April 2028)
• Up to 20 technical training scholarships through North Montco Technical Career Center
• Structured employer partnerships across Montgomery County’s manufacturing sector
MCIU serves as the program administrator and employer of record for all interns, managing payroll, compliance, and coordination with employer partners.

College and Career Leadership Council
Council membership is for district appointed professional staff who are leading efforts for Act 339 planning and developing programming for college and career readiness efforts at all grade levels.
